For freelancers and partners who want to help innovative clean services and technologies grow fast enough to save our future.

Make sustainable innovations inevitable.
Clean CoLab by Emotiva is a growth lab for climate and cleantech companies.
Together, we are building a tight bench of freelancers and partners who can translate complex sustainability + cleantech into stories, design, and assets people actually trust.
We don’t need an agency army—we want a few great collaborators we can call again and again.
Note: Clean CoLab is building our first training cohort for clean collaborators starting in March 2026.
What We Build
We help climate teams sound as smart as they are—without losing soul.

Most teams already have the proof. They just need the right lens and language to make it land.
-
Decks & one-pagers (story + structure + visuals)
-
Web pages (wireframes, layouts, copy, updates)
-
Emails & outreach (credible, human, not spammy)
-
Messaging from real VOC (what buyers actually say)
-
Simple growth tests (so ideas become action)
You’re not here to make it “look green.” You’re here to make it true.
You like turning messy inputs into clean, usable assets
You can work with technical founders and long sales cycles
You can adapt to a founder’s voice (no canned tone)
You’re calm under ambiguity—and you ship
You care about climate/sustainability enough to keep learning
If you’re looking for one-off gigs with zero context, we’re probably not your place.
We seek creative firepower
A) Storytelling Copywriters
(decks, web, emails, one-pagers)
What you’ll make:
Pitch deck narratives + slide copy, website messaging (home/solution/use case/proof), founder-voice emails + nurture, sales enablement content (sell sheets, pilot offers, case studies).
We especially value when you can…
Turn “smart but scattered” into a clear spine. Write like a human (not a brochure) with appropriate emotionality for B2B. Spot greenwashing risk and steer toward evidence and specificity—fast.
Nice-to-have:
Google Docs / Notion, PowerPoint/Slides/Keynote, able to shape copy into a clear web page layout, basic SEO awareness, Figma (basic).

B) Video (AI + film) / Motion
What you’ll make:
Founder-led shorts, mini-doc style stories, explainers, product walkthroughs, event recaps, motion graphics.
We especially value when you can…
Simplify technical claims without losing accuracy—and create videos that feel human, not “corporate climate.”
Tools you might use (depends on project & creative brief):
Premiere / Resolve / After Effects, Runway, Descript, CapCut, Midjourney (or your equivalents).
C) Web design + builders
(UX/UI + conversion)
What you’ll make:
Founder-led shorts, mini-doc style stories, explainers, product walkthroughs, event recaps, motion graphics.
We especially value when you can…
Simplify technical claims without losing accuracy—and create videos that feel human, not “corporate climate.”
Tools you might use (depends on project & creative brief):
Premiere / Resolve / After Effects, Runway, Descript, CapCut, Midjourney (or your equivalents).

D) User Generated Content / creator-style content
(especially LinkedIn-native)
What you’ll make:
Founder POV videos, “day in the life,” customer proof clips, product-led social content, native-style short form.
We especially value when you can…
Capture a real voice and real proof—content that doesn’t feel like an ad, but still drives action.
Nice-to-have:
Light scripting + editing chops, and comfort coaching founders who are new on camera.
E) Graphic design & branding
(systems, not just logos)
What you’ll make:
Identity refreshes, design systems, templates, brand kits, sales collateral, visual languages for content.
We especially value when you can…
Make early-stage teams look instantly credible—without needing a huge budget or a six-month rebrand.
Nice-to-have:
Template-thinking (decks, docs, social) so a small team can stay consistent.

F) Paid social creative (B2B) — LinkedIn ads + retargeting kits
What you’ll make:
LinkedIn creative sets (static/carousel/short video concepts), retargeting kits (MOFU/BOFU), founder-POV ad angles that feel native, and landing-page alignment notes so the click actually converts.
We especially value when you can…
Think in angles + iterations (not one “perfect” ad). Translate technical benefits into scroll-stopping simplicity. Build creative families: Hook → Proof → Offer → CTA—without overclaiming.
Nice-to-have:
Figma/Adobe, light motion (CapCut/AE), fluency with specs, and comfort using performance signals (CTR/CVR) to guide the next iteration.
G) Growth experiment operations
What you’ll make:
Tracking plans (events + UTMs), lightweight dashboards (GA4/Looker/Sheets), experiment backlogs + weekly cadence, landing page + email performance hygiene, simple automations to keep ops smooth.
We especially value when you can…
Set up “good enough” measurement quickly—then improve it. Keep naming/UTMs clean. Run tests that are easy to execute and easy to learn from (clear hypothesis, minimal lift, documented outcomes).
Nice-to-have:
Google Analytics 4, Basic Go-To-Market process understanding, Go Highlevel (or similar), Looker Studio, Airtable, Zapier/Make, spreadsheets, Notion/Asana.

H) Additional skills we are seeking
-
Grant writers (non-dilutive capital, climate + innovation grants, clear impact narratives)
-
Pitch deck / presentation design (make story + slides feel inevitable)
-
Illustration + infographics / data viz (impact, ROI, “how it works”)
-
3D / product visualization (hardware + climate infrastructure)
-
Audio/podcast editing (founder interviews, show polish)
-
Project / client manager (deadlines, calm comms, “clients feel held”)
We Offer Training and Development
Learn about cleantech & sustainability. Work inside a Go-To-Market structure for growth. Become one of our trusted clean collaborators.
Join our first cohort in 2026. Details will be shared with those expressing interest. You will learn about the theory of growth marketing and the importance + unique needs of climate and cleantech startups.

Sustainability fluency is a feature—not a vibe.
You don’t need a PhD. But you do need the instincts to ask smart questions about pilots, policy, and technology—and the backbone to flag claims that drift into greenwashing.
Examples:
• You can translate complexity into plain language
• You know when to request evidence, sources, or a clearer scope
• You care about getting it right because the mission deserves better than marketing fog
How to join us
A small bench. A high bar. A lot of repeat work.
We don’t run a giant directory.
We build a trusted bench—and we grow it through real collaboration, shared learning, and shipped work.
In addition, the clean collaborator curriculum helps us work together before it matters—and makes it easy to spot people who are serious about climate, craft, and teamwork.

1. Apply
(5–8 minutes)
Share your craft, portfolio, availability, and sustainability/cleantech interests.
2. Quick review
(portfolio + fit)
We look for strong fundamentals, good taste, and credibility-first instincts.
4. Bench match
(skill + availability + sustainability knowledge fit)
When a project fits your strengths, we reach out with a clear scope, timeline, and budget.
5. Join the Clean CoLab's first cohort of clean collaborators
If you’re a strong match, you’ll be invited into our first cohort: a weekly Zoom call that’s part community, part learning, part building.
You’ll collaborate with other specialists, contribute ideas and sources, and help us grow Emotiva/Clean CoLab from scratch—while you grow into your role and prove you’re the kind of teammate we can rely on.
6. Get prioritized for repeat work
If you're selected for Clean CoLab's first cohort, you will automatically join our creative community.
If not, we may reach out to you in the future.
Members who show up, contribute, and ship consistently become our go-to collaborators.
