I’m Kimberly Heismann—founder of Emotiva and a lifelong believer that stories can shift systems. I’m not just a copywriter—I’m a co-creative clarity catalyst helping mission-led teams bring big ideas to life with precision and heart.
From the halls of the United Nations Development Programme to the streets of Cape Town, my career has lived at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and human connection. I’ve led campaigns, advised startups, and raised millions for cultural and environmental initiatives—all with one goal: connecting people to opportunities for action.
In 1998, I launched Pop Sustainability to make sustainability consciousness irresistible to global youth culture—through music, art, and media in cities like New York, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Johannesburg.
In South Africa, I helped shape narratives for cultural powerhouses like the Cape Town Festival. And in New York’s clean energy space, I served as Chief Community Officer, blending community engagement with solar adoption strategy.
Today, I help cleantech and sustainability leaders find the words—and the emotional impact—to move their audiences and get important ideas sold. With a BS in Science, an MPA focus on sustainability from Columbia, a cleantech credential from NYU/NYSERDA, and certifications in copywriting from AWAI, I bring both head and heart to every project.
My mission is to challenge the kind of capitalism that confuses growth with goodness. I believe in the kind of marketing that doesn't just sell products—but scales integrity, drives systems change, and invites others into a more equitable, sustainable future.
I’m an open-water swimmer, canary whisperer, karaoke queen—and a firm believer that the most impactful solutions only scale when they feel personal.

I’m not just a marketer—I’m a listener, a coach, and a strategist who’s spent decades learning how people think, feel, and decide.
My work lives at the intersection of messaging, motivation, and mission—for brands that want to make a real difference in the world.
I’ve spent 20 years helping organizations connect with audiences in meaningful ways—at trade shows, in boardrooms, and across campaigns for brands like Disney, Subaru, YMCA, and the Colorado Convention Center. I started in health and wellness, moved into the startup world with Roadrunner, and have since worked with companies committed to environmental and social impact.
My approach blends deep listening with curiosity and clarity. I’ve coached individuals and teams, studied behavior and branding, and brought emotional intelligence into every part of the sales funnel—because I believe the right message, at the right time, changes everything.
With a Master’s in Health Fitness Management from American University, a background in marketing, and a certification in copywriting from AWAI’s Circle of Success, I bring both depth and drive to every engagement.
I live in Colorado, love learning, and try to carry a bit of humor into every project I touch. I believe good marketing isn’t about persuasion—it’s about connection.
